I know I already did a Daily Boost but I got some bad news to share.

Walmart all of a sudden wants to verify my grocery orders & they decided to do this at the worst time. They want to verify my order via phone number but my phone is off & it cost me $70 to turn it back on. I only have enough money to either turn my phone back on or order groceries. I don't have enough for both.

This is so upsetting to me because they've never done this to me and I've been ordering groceries from them for a couple of years. It's the closest and most affordable groceries I can get since I don't have a car. So I'm in a lose-lose situation right now. Please if y'all can help me out so I won't starve, that would be very much appreciated.

What is anime, one of the saved websites on the disc asks and answers.

The term anime does have a potential origin as being derived from dessin animé as France was one of the earliest hotbeds of weebery (affectionate) in the 70s.

An offline website with various images and a couple of paragraphs of text explaining what anime is and what the word means.

that’s a loud euphemism, buds. i want to make it clear that anyone who objects to being referred to that way is doing so because it is established transphobic language.

Protip: for any cis people who don’t already know, the phrase “this person” is an extremely obvious way transhobes often degender and/or misgender trans people.

you should generally not use that phrasing. especially if you are criticizing someone who happens to be trans.
