I personally will continue to use "Gulf of Mexico" because our president is a wrathful felonious nincompoop with the intellect of paramecium and I do not consent to his cartographic buffoonery
Encyclopædia Britannica will continue to use ‘Gulf of Mexico’ for a few reasons:
-We serve an international audience, a majority of which is outside the U.S.
-The Gulf of Mexico is an international body of water, and the U.S.’s authority to rename it is ambiguous.

My crankiest belief is that we are now being sold on solutions to problems which only exist because we've let others convince us they exist. That is what "innovation" seems to be in 2025.
There's a level of introspection that's just not happening these days re: what actually needs to bother us.

On an individual and personal basis, money is generally good for two things: Getting the things you need to live, and for keeping score. If you focus on the first, you may find you have enough sooner than you thought. If you focus on the second, all the money in the world might not be enough.
That's something difficult for many people to realize: When is enough money enough? I read of a basketball star (can't remember his name) who was making good money but wanted millions, & once he had millions he wanted billions. He shook himself and said, "What am I thinking?" When is enough enough?
