Legitimately a feat of carefully calculated writing to issue a Holocaust Remembrance Day statement of this length without mentioning either (1) the people who perpetrated the Holocaust or (2) the people against whom they perpetrated it

I’ve worked with nurses just like him. Waiting for national nursing (and medical) orgs to finally speak up. All of my orgs have been painfully silent. Especially egregious for the forensic healthcare community.
Here's where we are at: federal agents shot and killed a 37-year-old white man, a US citizen and ICU nurse at the VA who appears in multiple videos to have done absolutely nothing violent or even remotely illegal.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.

Want to stop political violence? Start by addressing hostile sexism.
In her new book, an expert on violent extremism lays out evidence that gender-based bigotry fuels hate — so national security officials need to do something about it.
