Half of the United States has been slowly and carefully inculcated by Fox News to believe that the other half of the country is their enemy and out to ruin their lives. Once this was established, it didn't take long for those viewers to value hurting these other Americans over helping themselves.

Spent part of the morning explaining to my 3 year old all the differences between the Ecto-1 in Ghostbusters and the Ecto-1 in the Real Ghostbusters, which led to us making Ghostbusters out of Play-Doh, which led to me laughing about my wife's life before me when Ghostbusters was *just* some movie.
