Does anyone have a good assignment to help history survey students understand how bias and context work in our discipline? I'm struggling to get them past "source is worthless because it's bias" to "evaluate the source's perspective using context and use that to help us understand things"

If your house of worship is silent about the cruelty and the attacks on your neighbors by ICE, you’re at the wrong church, mosque, synagogue, temple, or gurdwara.

With ICE on our streets, many of our Latino small businesses are seeing noticeably less foot traffic this holiday season.

If you can, show up for our neighbors by shopping local at places like Mercado Central - home to dozens of vibrant mom and pop shops.

Yeah, this happened a few days ago and I have seen ZERO news coverage of it. It also happened only 50 miles from the Brown University shooting, which they still have no suspects for.
