On Oct. 8, 2025, the AK National Guard got a memo from Major General Ronald Burkett, Director of NG Operations. It requires AK to prepare a Quick Reaction Force of 350 trained in batons, Tasers, & pepper spray to deploy for riot control. As Chair of AK’s Joint Armed Services Comm., I’m concerned.

The patients will reportedly be transitioned back to GPs, who do not have training in long covid and will not be doing, or even keep up with research.
