I interviewed over half a dozen ICE and Border Patrol agents who describe an agency that sounds like Reno 911!

“I thought federal agents were supposed to be clean cut but some of them pass around a flask as we are watching a suspect,” one told me:

It is now clear that Trump-style tariffs have objectively failed at delivering manufacturing job growth in the US.

They just make things cost more.

Flaw in this is that it equates "number" of spice ingredients with flavour. Japanese cuisine proves that less can be more.
Japanese food uses much fewer spices than other cuisines and is yet outrageously flavorful.

Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro long resisted US attempts to influence Venezuelan politics and exert control over its oil reserves.

President Trump wants more U.S. oil companies to "go in" to Venezuela. But there are economic, historical, and climate reasons that may not be easy. Here's what you need to know about oil in Venezuela.

These declines are MASSIVE.

And the comparative silence in media coverage is absolutely DAMNING.

“Why are ppl always so afraid of crime?”

THIS is why. When crime goes up, media trips over itself to report it.

Falls to pre-war (!!) levels? Just CRICKETS.
I count 10 cities in 2025 that are on track to have the fewest murders since at least 1970. Newark is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1956 (though only have data through Oct this year) and San Francisco is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1942.

I've just finished reading the judgment in the Lehrmann appeal to the Federal Court and a few points really stuck out - apart from the fact that the appeal judges agreed that Lehrmann's story was an absolute fabrication.

Lisa Wilkinson was found to have been poorly done by in the original judgment

My favourite baking story is of a gran whose baked potatoes and capsicums dish was always terrific, but as for the recipe, it only works with her old oven with the broken door that was in her garage. So to get it right, just smash your oven door with a hammer until it's half off its hinges...
As world's worst baker, tried with a carrot and walnut cake today... again, a disaster.
But I am learning to blame the oven, not myself.
That,I feel, is an improvement..

PS: DO NOT send recipes!
