They’re all eugenicists and racists.
The most serious Nazi shit in this extremely Nazi shit executive order may be the idea, just slipped in there, that one of the "divisive narratives that distort our shared history" is that "race is not a biological reality but a social construct." www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...
Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered: Section 1.

So it seems Columbia gave the Trump administration everything they wanted and more, including a new "vice provost" who will review curriculum, hiring, and leadership.

We sent him to a gulag for it.

People don't seem to understand that the existence of fair laws and open courts perceived as just, and the end of vigilante justice/violence as dispute resolution aren't independent and coincidental occurrences.
Don’t torch Teslas, don’t yell at officials in unofficial places (restaurants, airports, homes, etc), be civil — any stance along those lines is an appeal to democracy and rule of law.

That social contract is broken. No one’s immune from the consequences.

Not an endorsement. A what-did-you-expect.

After breaking into the US Institute of Peace (USIP) Monday, DOGE members immediately got to work taking down signs to erase the independent agency.

This whole campaign is disgraceful. This administration which is riddled with actual antisemites is using antisemitism as a stalking horse for its campaign against all universities. A kind of elaborate and hideous gaslighting.

They want the unreviewable power to grab people and render them to a foreign gulag.
If the Supreme Court ultimately agrees with what the gov't is arguing today, that the President has broad Article II powers that would permit it to deport people & there can be no judicial review, then literally no one is safe.

There's something grimly ironic about Trump, whose criminal guilt was quite clear based on public information, managing to land in the White House rather than a prison cell thanks to dragging out Due Process, now handwaving process away and assuming the right to brand criminals by fiat.

This is helpful because it really cuts through the bullshit. Vance is essentially telling congress: "this is a blank check for Musk and Trump." Should be an easy "no" vote for any House or Senate Dem. If the GOP wants Dem votes, negotiate for them.
"Vote for the bill so that the president can refuse to spend the money you just voted for" is whole other level of saying the quiet part out loud.
