52 years ago, the ESA was signed into law. It has prevented extinction for 99% of protected species, including wolves. Now, proposed rollbacks threaten to dismantle the ESA and erase decades of conservation progress. Protect the law that protects wildlife.

Age Verification Is Coming For the Internet. We Built You a Resource
Age verification laws are proliferating fast across the United States and around the world, creating a dangerous and confusing tangle of rules about what we’re all allowed to see and do online.

An interesting aspect of this is that in the lead up to the debate Buckley himself was dismissive of Baldwin and other Black theorists and thinkers at the time. It’s why he looked the fool, he was sure Baldwin was simply a bitter guy with hate for white people.
One of the lasting impacts of William Buckley getting dog walked by James Baldwin in the Cambridge debate in 1965 was that racial conservatism decided it was easier to dismiss Black ideas because they couldn't win the argument.

For the first time in a few months, I don’t have enough money to pay my rent ($300~ short) and light bill ($143.93) by the 3rd. And my next check isn’t until the 9th + I can't get extensions on either thing.

ANY help would be appreciated T__T

As a pessimist, I think the organic Stranger Things boycott was one of those declarations that was always going to fail. Primarily because most of the people making it were being reactionary versus principled. And when it came down to establishing a campaign to undermine zionist PR,
take no pleasure in being the one to do this, but theres a pretty big active boycott against stranger things (nd netflix in general) nd its v disheartening to see comrades break it nd ignore it (esp in light of one of its stars rabid zionism).
There’s some real good & cool stuff in Stranger Things Season 5, but I can’t help but feel like it wastes so much time. It feels like 5 hours of story spread out over 10 hours. I desperately don’t need 2 scenes per episode of Netflix-mandated verbal exposition for those watching while vacuuming.

Whenever people bring up Troy (2005) as accurate I (a) have to physically stop myself from laughing and (b) just wish they would say they see it as accurate because everyone is white. Let’s start off by the fact that Troy is hardly ever depicted as a separate civilization and always looks Greek TM

A lot of queerandfeminist fandom sincerely thinks that giving a shit about Black people or characters is American Centric and I would hate to be one of their Black Friends TM 🤢

(Also, they're usually American or Major European. They know how Black people are treated where they are/in media there?)
Anon: Have you checked out this resource for writing Black characters? It's really good.

A racist weenie in fandom: That sounds super American-centric sorry.

That explains that non-response of an e-mail I got from @vanhollen.senate.gov. Not that I expected anything, but a coward is a coward.
🚨‼️As of yesterday KOSA is at 64 cosponsors with @vanhollen.senate.gov + @kim.senate.gov - who claim to support LGTBQ+ rights but are clearly okay with supporting legislation that’ll censor us off the internet- newly signed on.
