Tbf this is much more likely to happen if you‘re trans. The facism is real but we shouldn‘t leave out that part.
If you’re wondering why your friends in academia are a little on edge right now, it’s because an eighteen-year-old who hasn’t done the reading, doesn’t look at the assignment, and has does no critical thinking skills more complex than “because I think it’s in the Bible” can literally end your career

The University of Oklahoma has removed an instructor who was accused by a student of religious discrimination over a failing grade on a psychology paper in which she cited the Bible and argued that promoting a “belief in multiple genders” was “demonic.” https://cnn.it/4b6g3rd

Obviously people of all genders do the things listed here, but I learned years ago that if a trans woman takes pride and joy in this kind of work as a stay at home mom, transphobes will say she's a misogynist who fetishizes femininity.

I wonder who the remaining 16% are...
My transgender partner was physically assaulted leading to acute hospitalisation as part of a hate crime incident last year. How could an environment allowing that to happen ever be considered 'safe'
In @yougov.co.uk polling of the trans community, to the best of our knowledge the first of its kind ever conducted, an astonishing 84% said Britain is “fairly unsafe” or “very unsafe” for trans people.

The road to hell is paved with "legitimate concerns"
Conservative Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp repeatedly refusing to say that he thinks Reform MP Sarah Pochin saying she doesn't like seeing black people on TV was racist.

Says he wouldn't use her "language" but it's right for her to express "legitimate concerns" about migration

Our democracies rely on the idea that we all share the same reality, but the increasing disinformation in the mainstream media is a serious threat to the very concept of objective truth. In trying to gain clicks by being first on their news stories, legacy media are neglecting their responsibilities
The media is completely failing us in this moment.

The UK Government of Keir Starmer is so dedicated to transphobia they're prepared to burn their political capital with their own MPs in order to force through a transphobic EHRC chair rejected as unfit due to inexperience on race matters.
So the government really are just targeting trans people now.

The board rejected her appointment because of her obvious bias against trans people & connection to anti-trans organisations.

This makes a mockery of the whole idea of the EHRC.
