The Biden DOJ had a perfectly legal avenue to release this to the public—a response to a FOIA request. They may have even been legally obligated to produce it in response to the FOIA request. And they decided not to, to protect Donald Trump’s reputation? What?

Now seems like a swell time to point out that Frontline just released this excellent 11-minute mini-documentary about what happened inside CECOT.
I explained to an actor friend that vfx has been changing takes and doing face replacements for 15+ years now. He was mind blown. It's all 'AI' to people now. I'm super anti gen-AI and I'm also super anti being lumped in to AI cause I'm a VFX artist. We were literally called 'original AI' by SAG
The AI convo really is designed to be fucked, as, it's all one empty umbrella term.
There was 'AI' in use in the VFX industry for a good while, for, say, the de-aging in The Irishman (ILM did it btw).
But that's a different beast from the 'Gen AI' that later emerged & has now swallowed everything.
