The most rational critical move is not necessarily to parse the facts of a specific claim, but to adopt the narrative position that best ensures the community's immediate safety
Jesus Christ, the guy who said he killed Charlie Kirk because he was a hateful bigot probably had SOME political meaning in mind when he inscribed a bunch of antifascist messages on the literal bullets he did killings with. Texting his friend “oh lol it was memes” doesn’t change that. Get a grip

That’s the dark heart of fascism, to me. A world where nothing is true or false and so people might as well indulge in your their whim, many of which turn out to be insatiably cruel and dark.
