If you are a foreign president who commits crimes overseas, America will come get you, arrest you, and lock you up.

But if you are a US president who commits crimes here in the United States, America will give you immunity from prosecution, reelect you, and bribe you with billions of dollars.

the reason people sometimes act madder at democrats than republicans when republicans do impossibly evil shit is the same reason why, if you hired an exterminator to handle a roach infestation and he showed up to feed and play with them instead, your first instinct wouldn’t be to yell at the roaches

Julie K. Brown is a reporter for the Miami Herald who did groundbreaking work on Epstein beginning in 2018, including groundbreaking work on the disgusting coverup by Alex Acosta.

Her travel itinerary was released with some of the Epstein files. It appears the DOJ was monitoring her in 2019.

Every single reporter there needs to hold the line on this too.

Don't throw him a lifeline with another question if he dodges. Have each other's backs and demand he answer the question.
Just to get ahead of this: Print the post out and bring it to the next Mike Johnson presser. You already know what his move will be. There’s no excuse to not be prepared for it.

One theory I have is that competence, self-control, responsibility, and expertise have all been feminized, leaving “masculinity” with the realm of impulsivity and petulance. So the divide is not really between “femininity” and “masculinity” so much as between adulthood and childishness.
Everything else aside, the idea that this is a model for many men of *masculinity* is so wild. This? This is "manly"? This is how people think it's cool to act?

Contrary to what some liberal critics say, John Roberts has kept his pledge to only call balls and strikes. He never promised that the strike zone would be the same for Democrats and Republicans.

I think it should be a bigger deal that before Trump made him a life-tenured appeals court judge, Emil Bove was at DOJ taking the position that the White House should do war crimes
Report: Trump’s Most Corrupt, Least Qualified Judge Was Also an Enthusiastic Proponent of Extrajudicial Killings
Yet another reason for Senate Democrats to impeach Emil Bove the moment they take back the upper chamber.

Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

Two of my old schoolmates are now the governor-elect of NJ and an acclaimed oncologist.

I grew up in foster care, graduated from a state honors college and law school. We all did well—thanks to a well-funded public high school with well-paid teachers. Go Seahawks! (Grant Hill did okay too.)

It can be hard to do math in your head, while standing up, on national television. Nerve-wracking, too. But even so, in twenty seconds on the air, I did a better job than the President in costing his latest idea and figuring out whether his new idea of a $2,000 rebate check will work. (It won't.)

Yeah I keep just taking it for granted that Rs want to kill us.
What actually happened is that Republicans held a gun to the head of Democrats and said, "Choose between starving kids and healthcare costs."

But why would journalists ever hold Republicans accountable for their hostage-taking tactics?

Cato put out this brief statement from me critical of U.S. military strikes on suspected drug running boats, strikes that kill those aboard "without trial, legal process, or public accountability." These extrajudicial killings would be unlawful, I observe, even if all the smuggling claims were true.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

Critical part of the President's new $100,000 charge for H1-B visas: The Administration can also offer a $100,000 discount to any person, company, or industry that it wants. Replacing rules with arbitrary discretion.

Want visas? You know who to call and who to flatter.
