The suggestion that Kristi Noem, a white woman, is the "delicate, beautiful, tiny" victim after a Latino man is physically dragged out of a room fits into the admin's pretext of criminality it attaches to people who are not white.

Like Rep. LaMonica McIver.
The "delicate, beautiful, tiny" fascism of Kristi Noem
The right thinks Noem is the victim of Sen. Padilla's assault. But what about Rep. McIver?

whoever has designed #MSN ‘s current weather app, hats off to the beautiful graphing work.

I hope we get to enjoy it as an iOS app some day. Sad because I’m sure microsoft will kill it some day.

Incredible documentary! And so extremely well illustrated, what a display of charts & graphics. (Of course the movie’s brilliance lies beyond that too)

Must watch
What a horror show to have put that man in charge of anything. The documentary is very short and very good. You can watch it here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybVZ...

So crucial to stay vigilant and critically question everything right now. Even prestige media houses like India Today & NDTV aren’t 100% safe.
On Thursday night, as Pakistan launched cross-border strikes, Indian TV channels responded with a blitz of jingoism, fake victories, and wild claims.

Carney is going to be a huge world figure now. He’ll be the most forceful - and smartest - anti-Trump voice. A lot of people are going to be rallying to Canada’s flag, the exact opposite of what Trump wanted.

ICYMI, @theverge.com recently published a series of essays exploring the legacy of the Vietnam War. Absolutely mind-blowing content (sans the poser energy we find in many modern political commentators).

I can’t wait for The Verge foray into a political offshoot.
For our American War series, here's my essay attempting to reckon with the scale of death and destruction—not just during the war itself, but from the bombs that still remain scattered across Vietnam
Imagining the scale of the Vietnam War
The US dropped 5 million tons of explosives during the war. How many bombs is that?

We're shocked by Trump and Musk's antics because we judge them against the idea that governments should serve the people. But they have no such intention. Government for them is simply about seizing power and wealth.
Let's stop being shocked, and build a global, democratic counter-movement.

Saw Black Doves on Netflix
The plot is messy and nonsensical, it’s almost as if it was written by a teenager hopped up on too many spy movies. Even Prime Video’s disastrous Citadel had a better understanding of its subject matter.

Why are so many of us only able to see us as exceptional in our faults?
True statement that often makes me feel terribly sad ashamed of the world we live in. 😪🙏
