Politicians wringing their hands over why teachers are leaving the profession. The truth is, we'd get more people staying in teaching if our various Governments understood that the real purpose of education is *not* to build a compliant workforce, but a society of well-rounded individuals...

Trying to contact Royal Mail
About whereabouts of a parcel is impossible. Website sends round in circles. Over 60 minute wait in phone queue. Was meant to be next day delivery but showings only despatched by sender no further info. It’s an important package and terrified it gets lost.

I saw a gorgeous shade of green north face hoodie on a guy in a cafe and I can’t find it anywhere. I should have asked him where he got it. Probably a fake but it was the colour rather than the brand I liked. Can’t find fake version either. #firstworldproblems

Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

Four hours after the hero's name was released

BBC News still calling him 'member of the public'

His name is Ahmed el Ahmed
He's a Muslim
How many Jewish lives did his heroism save?

If I can hear your lips smacking and your filthy chewing over the top of music in a bar you have zero fucking manners and deserve all forms of cruel and painful punishment

The arrogance of billionaires insisting people return to massive offices in the age of remote working reminds me of the Lloyds Names, who "invested" their cash and never thought they'd have to cover the losses that they agreed to.

So in the past 48 hours I’ve learned disabled artists shouldn’t win big famous art prizes because it offends the ableds and apparently black people born in Scotland can’t be Scottish due to the colour of their skin. wtf kind of world are we creating here?
Are people still that scared of difference?

And how painful was the village people set? I saw them back in the early 90s supporting Gary glitter - says all you need to know really
December 5, 2025 at 7:21 PM
So after the village people the presenter on #bbc2 goes on about this is how it went in England’s group forgetting Scotland who got a two second mention. Did we not qualify in the same way?

It must be very strange to be afraid of humans that you perceive to be different.

I've peeled many humans and i can assure you that you all look the same when peeled, and you all make the same noises when being peeled.

What this says to me is that instead of maintaining the teaching of independent thought and standing up for freedom of expression and unbiased education they’ll kowtow to the fascist regime to keep the money coming in & keep their jobs. Fuck all to do with students
This is the most alarming story I’ve read today. Giving up the fight before it’s started

Something that always breaks my heart is seeing well meaning support organisations highlighting how hard it is for families to live with an autistic person. As a 100% ND family it’s not hard at all to live together but it is hard to navigate an enforced NT environment

Today I was working with disabled artists. One was non verbal (not non communicative) with limited mobility. Her PA was so patronising, I thought perhaps it was her dad being protective but her mum said no he’s the carer. She always deferred to the carer rather than make decisions or answer qs

Nobody in the motability cutting luxury cars story has pointed out that people will have to pay for those cars beyond what PIP gives them. Luxury cars can’t be paid for solely by PIP even without VAT.

Meta has carefully crafted a machine designed to make monsters out of men, and it must be destroyed. The people involved at the top of Meta are clearly villains, and in a world concerned with justice most of them would be in jail.

These moronic protesters need to stop using our children as the excuse for their racism and prejudice and look to their own problematic ranks before pointing the fingers at others.
