I’ll do you one further and say ditch the numbers all together for a vibes-based sliding scale of Interesting to Uninteresting. “Bad” and “good” aren’t really descriptive enough.
I 100% agree with @stopskeletons.bsky.social on good garbo. We all know some movies are so bad they’re good, so why don’t people apply that to video games? I rate games on a scale where 5 is average, 10 is peak, 0 is mediocre, -5 is a bad but alright experience, and -10 is so bad it’s good.

heads up that bluesky doesnt show posts from other languages by default on your timeline, and its cutting you off from a lot of the community
go to bsky.app/settings/lan... and deselect any language from this setting, or else you might not see any of the new japanese users at all!

Although I think Virtua Fighter deserves even more credit than Shenmue, but fighting games are treated as though they're completely insular, even though just about anything with 3D characters (read: most games) owes a debt to it.

A while back I saw someone talking about the legacy of Shenmue and a bunch of people were saying in complete honesty that it wasn't a big deal and the only game it influenced was Yakuza. People really don't know much about Sega.
In a weird way, I think in America, Sonic kinda distracts from how important Sega is in the grand scheme of things
