Once saw a man approach another man, who was carrying a rolled up carpet over his shoulder, pop something into the hole at the top of the rolled up carpet. Something entirely different fell out the other end, which he quickly picked up. Both went on their way without acknowledging each other.

I was at an airport, and a young lad was pushing his suitcase around making brm brm truck noises. I had to walk past him, and he saw me, looked at me. He stopped, looked back at his suitcase and slowly pulled it back, making beep beep truck-reversing noises and grinning like a maniac.

My 5yo has been diagnosed with autism and ADHD-combined, hooray! He's been on the wait list since before his 2yo brother (diagnosed autistic at 22mo) was born. I want to shout it from the rooftops! Huzzah!

Going to end on one of the most beautiful commercials ever made with the reminder and a call to remember the small things. They make a big difference to others.

Love all, help all.

You know what makes getting only 2 hours of sleep because the toddler wouldn't sleep after 2am worse?

When the kindergartener gets up, informs you that it's still dark outside and repeatedly asks why you're up and downstairs, because normally you are in bed when he gets up and this is A Change.

I live in the US so of course when I asked my OB if postpartum anxiety was a thing, he told me no, I was probably just always crazy and never knew it, which fair, but also, IT IS A THING

My 22mo boy was diagnosed with #autism this morning. Didn't realize until 30 mins before his appt that I was so terrified about it because if he didn't have autism, his developmental delays would probably mean major brain damage from #HIE.

So I am glad and relieved.

it has never done so for me—in fact, the horrors have only gotten unimaginably more horrible—but I keep hoping that means I am due for wildly beautiful things, because it has to balance out somehow, some way, and it’s past time, and no one tell me any different because I need to keep going forward

My mother went to get a Catholic anullment after my dad left. Zero record of her marriage in the Archdiocese. Her great-aunt was way up in the hierarchy, did not like my dad. We don't know if she never filed them, OR whether she got a fake priest to marry my parents. Either option is plausible.

Met with a #POTS specialist earlier this month. He believes I have it, may have had it for far longer than I thought, and has listed out the general plan of treatment. And the tilt table test is scheduled. I'm glad to have found doctors that listen.

When my first son was born- and I remind you I was in the throes of sepsis and being given every drug on the planet simultaneously- they pulled him out, told me it was a boy, and apparently I dramatically flung my hand back at my husband, said “my lord! I have borne you a son!” and then fainted
Dearest wife and confidant,

It falls to me to acquaint you with my recent trip to Sainsburys, where there is great want of fresh peppers at present, and I have made do for our repast with, I sadden to report, mushrooms.
