I hope that’s the case, but Trump has a pattern of engaging in staff shake-ups to achieve the optics of change without its substance.

This has been accompanied in the past by him planting stories in the media about supposed WH staff conflict and drama.
Am I correct in reading this as (improbably) a step back for Trump, as Homan has (somehow) been the moderate opposed to Bovino/Noem’s militant fascism?
Since Bovino has become so toxic in MN, they are bringing in the voice of reason.

It's beyond politics now. This is about good vs. evil

So let’s set the Gestapo aside. Instead I’ll use this thread to compare Trump’s thugs to other secret police and terror squads from different times and places. It’s tyranny, no matter where it comes from. 1/10🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵

Over the last 48 hours, the talking point on the right has solidified; the only reason that we are seeing violent clashes against ICE is because of sanctuary policies and failure to cooperate from city officials who are fanning the flames.

Take a look; it's wild how quickly they're all adopting it.

The actual chain of the events that led to the death are indefensible, so they are withdrawing to the broader claim: Dems caused this by not working with us. Of course, such paramiltary surges are only occurring in cities run by Democrats.

good to see more folks calling this what it really is—ethnic cleansing. not an immigration crackdown.
We need to get it broadly understood that Stephen Miller's ethnic cleansing will result in a permanent metastasized immigrant carceral state and paramilitary warfare on US streets that goes on *for years.*

The internal logic of his agenda dictates this of necessity.
