The tacky “gold” appliqués Trump has ordered to bling out the Oval Office are metastasizing. They have now spread to the wallpaper and the panels on the backs of the doors. Also now all golden: the scallops above the recessed bookshelves and all the crown molding. It’s revolting and unpresidential.
