The last several years when I roast a turkey I’ve had to beg for the smallest possible bird. Now I know why.

“The average turkey now weighs about 32 pounds, nearly double its size in 1960…”

I could never fit a 32-lb bird in my fridge, let alone my small oven.

Americans are eating less turkey, even as the birds keep getting bigger
Turkeys aren’t what they used to be. They’re huge now....

Products not grown in the US, including cocoa, get some tariff relief. (Tariffs are not the biggest price pressure on chocolate, but the reduction is welcome given recent stratospheric global cocoa prices.)

Example of recent reporting explaining how the 50-year loan makes monthly payments more affordable but dramatically slows down payment of the principal. Not discussed here is the volatility of the housing market, which can boost your equity or put you underwater.

Beyond whether or not he justified was in ordering National Guard troops to Portland, it’s shocking that he can be so easily manipulated by Fox News.

One normally thinks of a President as relying on trusted knowledgeable advisors before making an informed decision. Instead he has “loyalists”.

Not the next step I was hoping for.

HOWEVER if the story becomes Democratic congressional infighting—instead of skyrocketing healthcare premiums, SNAP suspension, layoffs, and everything else coming down the garbage chute—it will sap the hard-won momentum and ultimately hurt the American public.

My worldview is that people who spread or defend lies or propaganda, without exception, have no credibility. Motive or political leaning is irrelevant.
Exactly. Once you decide that lying and propagandizing is necessary, you're on the road to oblivion, because the other guys are not only better at it, but they will out you as being no better than they are
The risk of straying from the truth is that the opposition can seize on the falsehood, hyperbole, whatever, to attack you and convince others that you can't be trusted.
