Consider... tens, maybe hundreds of thousands of people are losing their government jobs. Jobs that may have taken up to a year to secure. They bought homes, cars, started families.

No income now to make payments or feed babies.

How does that help our economy?

Vance posted on X: “Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power.” You mean Trump’s “power” being used to violate our Constitution? The Constitution is not something any president can manipulate for political games.

Headed into the weekend, a gentle reminder that this whirlwind is specifically designed to make us feel exhausted, overwhelmed, resigned, & sapped of energy, and that it is more important now than ever to connect with your community. Hug your family, check on your friends, walk in your neighborhood.

If I’m a federal worker, and I’m not eligible for the deferred resignation, you can bet that I’d be asking for a written guarantee that I wouldn’t be RIFed in the next 8 months.

You aren't letting anyone down by taking a day off from the news.

The shitshow will be there tomorrow.

Others can churn rage on your behalf while you breathe and keep yourself safe.

You are not doing patriotism wrong by ensuring you don't lose your mind every single moment of every single day.

@fritschner.bsky.social We’re probably being paranoid but we just had a weird interaction with four young men trying to enter OPM. They said they just wanted to use the bathroom but they left after we video’ed them, then came back and are still here. Just hanging.

Imagine having WAY more money than you could ever spend in a lifetime.
Then imagine crushing people's lives and leaving them to die, so that you can have MORE money.
This is who is in control of us now. People who will step over bodies in the street to count their neverending pile of wealth.

According to Fox Business, yes, Fox Business, the federal government saves at least $150 million annually with remote workers versus having workers in offices. The average remote worker also saves $2500-$4000 annually in expenses.
How telework is rescuing the government workforce
A just-released report clearly demonstrates that forcing government employees to return to the office will dangerously undermine government performance.

The remote work debate was funny because it forced the question "Is a job something valuable you do or is it a place you go to be watched like daycare" and the answer for a lot of them was yeah it's the daycare thing now come on inside recess is over
