Q: So… do you mean to say that the new curriculum’s bizarre boner for teaching 8-year-olds the “Western” canon might be because it’s being cribbed from the pseudoscientific, religious Trivium Method, stealthed in by a guy who also sits on the board of a Trivium Method charter school?

A: Yes.

There is, it may not surprise you to learn, no evidence to support this, and given that Sayers' book came out 78 years ago and the real trivium’s most recent heyday was the actual Middle Ages it is entirely possible that it’s not the best way to be teaching children.

It would have been great if she’d stopped there, but sadly, she did not. The Trivium Method suggests the “trivium” (grammar, rhetoric, and logic) maps onto the developmental stages of children.

Sayer’s book begins: "That I, whose experience of teaching is extremely limited, and whose life of recent years has been almost wholly out of touch with educational circles, should presume to discuss education is a matter, surely, that calls for no apology."

We will let David Seymour’s press release do the talking: Students will be taught how to learn and thinkbased [sic] on the Trivium method. The method identifies a three-stage natural development of a students’ education; grammar, logic, and rhetoric.

"The Trust also seeks to elevate and grow good character within a supportive and nurturing environment based on traditional Christian values and principles"

And who is the Chair of the Trust that’s backing this new traditional Christian values and principles-based charter school?

Why, it’s new curriculum architect Dr Michael Johnston.

And what “knowledge-rich” curriculum will the Altum Academy use? It will be teaching the “Trivium Method. ”

What is that?

It’s cool that Zohran was able to find common ground with Trump on material issues of affordability while the rest of the Democratic Party has only found common ground with him on hating and harming trans people.

Major measles outbreaks have repeatedly cropped up in the Southwest this year. Yet at IHS hospitals in the region, agency officials deemed “measles” and “immunizations” a "medium risk" in internal agency emails.

Staffers, including doctors, now need to get approval to use them in public messaging
NEW: Officials at the Indian Health Service have deemed terms like “immunizations” and “vaccines” risky “buzzwords” that require approval to be used in social media posts, pamphlets and presentations for patients.

First off, my suspension has ended. Got a little harsh with a post a few days ago but I didn’t have my feet on the ground and I’m sorry if I offended anyone. Will try to be more chipper. Knock on wood!

starting Nov 1st we're entering the holiday season, which is a big stress point for big businesses like Mastercard and Visa. These Paypros havent stopped cracking down on Adult Content, so we need to jump back into calling them in full force again!

Any leftist, any trans person, any sex worker, any media figure that gets picked up and they don't like. Anyone for any reason - they can find you and more or less automatically terminate your whole identity and then they follow you around.

It's a legal catastrophe.

Spoke to a second source familiar with what’s going on with paypro censorship toward me. It seems I’ve been blacklisted among paypros as a creator, particularly for mommy domme content. This could escalate into debanking, I learned

I should be transparent. The NYT has approached @mississippifreepress.org reporters and editors about potential reporting partnerships. We have declined to have those conversations. We know it’s a reader play and don’t want clubby NYT control/influence on our reporting choices for obvious reasons.
🚨 Re ethical “national” media: The NEW YORK Times isn’t only news source with nat’l news, reach. Since 2020, readers in 50 states have grown @mississippifreepress.org reach nationally *and* in 82 counties, 8 bureaus.

Wew lad. #Albuquerque #NewMexico now is a good time to mask up if you haven't been. Something nasty is going around. Idk exactly what it is but some nasty Flu (Covid? Honestly was too sick to test myself) incapacitated me for a week straight.

okay but to be absolutely fair also, most of this was told to y'all that it was gonna happen all the way back when SESTA/FOSTA happened with sex workers, but until it came for cartoon porn y'all didn't care either so, throwing stones from glass houses if we're being honest
In a lot of ways other leftists chose this path folks. They shrugged and didn’t care when Patreon banned a ton of hypnosis and TF creators, or when YouTube started their ASMR crackdown. Now it’s coming for queer porn creators, more and more. Who will stand up?
