We already have complete access to Greenland, including unfettered freedom of navigation into the Arctic.

We have a military base. We have early warning radar systems in place that will integrate with the “dome.”

And we have allies to help defend it. We don’t need Greenland.

Arnoldo Bazan, a 16-year-old U.S. citizen, was put in a chokehold by ICE agents.

Agents took his phone, which he tracked to a used electronics vending machine near an ICE detention center.

Yes: ICE is stealing and selling people’s things after brutalizing them. There are no words.

My @bostonglobe.com colleague @yabraham.bsky.social calls a thing a thing: the anti-Somali government siege on Minneapolis is rooted in bigotry against two groups the president loves to attack most: Black folks and Muslims. This is white nationalism in action. www.bostonglobe.com/2026/01/15/m...

This long ago stopped being a matter of immigration enforcement. Instead, it's a campaign of organized brutality against the people of MN"

The thumbnail headline says 3 quit. I just clicked through and it’s been changed to 6.
These are absolutely monstrous people

A Black man was killed by ICE (off duty) in Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. And like Renée Good, he was an American citizen. But most people have not heard about Keith Porter.

I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

First the lies, now the cover up.
The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says they've been informed by the FBI that US DOJ has said FBI will solely lead the investigation into Renee Nicole Good's killing by a federal officer. State investigators no longer have access to "case materials, scene evidence/investigative interviews"
January 8, 2026 at 4:59 PM
The coverup has begun:
“The FBI has taken full control of the investigation into the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Macklin Good by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) officer in Minneapolis, it emerged Thursday”…

Five years ago, Trump incited a violent insurrection. Armed extremists stormed the Capitol to overturn an election.

I never thought I’d see an attempted coup in the United States.

January 6th was an assault on democracy. And no amount of whitewashing will erase the truth.

It’s been 5 years since the President incited a violent riot at the Capitol in an attempt to overturn a free and fair election.

January 6, 2021, is a stain on American history. Today, I'll be keeping the more than 100 Capitol Police officers who were injured in my thoughts.

Bennie Thompson marked the Jan. 6 anniversary by playing a blistering montage exposing those who carried out the violent Capitol attack incited by Donald Trump. Five years later, the footage still hits hard and leaves nowhere to hide.

January 6th participant: January 6th was an insurrection. I broke the law. Police officers were assaulted that day. I point the finger to Trump.

Rep. Correa: So this really happened. This was an assault on our democracy, on our Capitol.

J6 participant: Absolutely. Orchestrated by Trump.

It has been five years since Donald Trump incited a violent mob on our nation's Capitol.

The promise of America is based on free and fair elections and the peaceful transfer of power. Now, more than ever, the freedom to use our voices is integral to our democracy.

(1/2) Five years ago, Trump incited a violent insurrection on our Capitol and on our democracy. Law enforcement bravely fought them off, and multiple officers lost their lives.

But since then, Republicans have whitewashed what happened, and Trump even pardoned the violent rioters.

Today marks the 5th anniversary of the worst day in our nation’s history, bar none. A day when democracy itself, & the Capitol which should champion it, was attacked by a mob of thugs. 4 years later, they got what they wished for by ushering in a horrific age of ethnofascism.

Photos I took as I barricaded myself in the Capitol five years ago on January 6th.

I will never forget the self-made barricade & gas mask as I heard rioters chanting "USA, USA" right outside the door.

Democracy is fragile & we must do everything we can to protect it.

I still remember Ma telling me five years ago that if these insurrectionists on January 6th were Black, then they would be dead. Five years later, they are almost all alive, out of jail, and their guy is back in the White House. If that’s not White privilege, then I don’t know what is.
