Opposition to tobacco harm reduction is a closed thought system impervious to evidence which contradicts their cult. USSR & satellites was another closed thought system & collapsed suddenly. That’s what will happen to THR denial. @aliveadvocacy.bsky.social @ianamossyd.bsky.social @igas2.bsky.social
...just to point out the obvious: We who support #HarmReduction correct our colleagues when they err. We self-correct.

I have NEVER seen this happen among #HarmReduction deniers. They often say things that are demonstrably false. When this is pointed out the response is crickets. Silence.

Funny thing happened on the way to buy some death sticks: I quit smoking. And then I noticed EVERYONE had quit smoking. And it was good.

But then I saw thousands of jobless tobacco control experts tearing their hair, gnashing their teeth and lamenting: "NO! You quit the wrong way!!!"

Like most other countries Australia refuses to learn lessons of illicit cannabis. Demand=strong. Supply=easy. Prohibition hasn’t got chance to work. Repeats same mistake with vapes & gets same result! Duh! @jamomartin.bsky.social @aliveadvocacy.bsky.social @ianamossyd.bsky.social @igas2.bsky.social
We seem to be heading in the same direction with tobacco. High taxes make black market so lucrative they are now funnelling everyday Australians into criminal justice system. Big $tick$.

If you believe "vaping is a gateway to smoking" you are like a flat-Earther. The real world disagrees with you.

In all these countries, among all adults, the age group with the steepest rate of smoking decline is... young adults. And teen smoking has dropped to all-time lows.

Church of Tobacco Control believes in irredeemable evil. Big Tobacco was evil decades ago, so it's evil today.

Meanwhile, they buy clothes from Hugo Boss which made uniforms for NAZIs, and buy aspirin from Bayer, formerly I.G. Farben, which made zyklon b, the poison gas used in NAZI death camps.
