Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

Why? People are still going! This used to come to dvd six months from now and do gangbusters with everyone who missed it in theatres. The rush to get everything on streaming as quickly as possible makes zero financial sense. Never has.

As crazy as it feels to say, King of the Hill Season 14 is a top-to-bottom triumph. To say that new showrunner Saladin Patterson sticks the landing would be an understatement.

Listening to a movie podcast where the hosts rant for 15 minutes about a plot point that they completely missed or misunderstood is so frustrating.

“I’ll be honest dude, I was on my phone for most of this😎”

Then why are you talking about it at all?!

Content for the sake of content is breaking me.

Legacy sequels, I beg of you, stop putting all these clips of the original (superior) films in there. You’re only hurting yourself.

on one hand, some folks online are being a tad uncharitable at the refurbished Granville Street Bridge's public spaces being in an interim state

on the other hand, if you do a political ribbon cutting ceremony after two years and $54 million, you're gonna get dunked on if this is the first result

What these companies don't get or seem to care about is those of us who are professionals in post-production and rely on tools like WeTransfer to send materials to clients have also signed NDAs that are complete conflict with their new TOS.

Legally we CAN'T use WeTransfer now.

OK, this is wild.

In September 2023, geophysicists across the world started monitoring a very odd signal coming from the ground under them.

It was picked up in the Arctic. And Antarctica. It was detected everywhere, every 90 seconds, as regular as a metronome, for *nine days*.

What the HELL?
