I have been trying to get this published as an op-ed, but I am going to post it here since I think it is timely in light of the "consent" extortion events.

A small primer on the #NobelPrize awarded to Mary E. Brunkow, Fred Ramsdell and Shimon Sakaguchi today. This prize was for combining two separate fields of immunology research - genetic research on IPEX and immunology research of regulatory T cells (#Tregs), with enormous impact on biology/medicine

@governor.ny.gov @lizkrueger.bsky.social New York’s biomedical economy is at a tipping point! Investment in science pay off! For heath, for jobs, and for the economy!

New York leads in science & medicine but without state investment, we risk losing talent, cures, jobs, & billions in economic return.

Every $1 California invested in biomedical research returned $4 to the state economy. This isn’t just science—it’s smart economics: www.cirm.ca.gov/our-impact/
Impact Across California – CIRM
For two decades, CIRM has been at the forefront of regenerative medicine, funding over 100 clinical trials and building the infrastructure that drives innovation in stem cell and gene therapies.

Legend David Baltimore died yesterday. He understood the way things should work: "the real contribution of MIT is that it doesn't take itself too seriously. It takes ideas seriously, but the people are relatively informal. They are not self-aggrandizing the way academics can be."

RFK Jr. went on Fox News today to claim that HHS has had “no successes” in the past 40 years.

I beg to differ.

🚀 Today we're launching the 'Night Science Institute', a non-for-profit organization to lead a cultural shift in science! You may say we're dreamers 😉, but we think we're not the only ones. Perhaps today you will join us to make the Day Science and Night Science parts of the process live as one!

I love this creativity and technology. A solar powered train. I’d love to have that here in the United States. A great step forward for Australia.
