THREAD: The FDA has made it difficult to find where medications are made. Today we're changing that with our latest tool.

With Rx Inspector, it’s possible to see your drug’s manufacturing facility and what the FDA found during its inspections.

Here's how you can use it. 1/

IOW, rather than make stablecoins stable, the bill makes their inherent instability contagious, shifting their risk onto the larger banking system. It’s a direct wealth transfer from law abiding Americans to criminals.

Rage bait headline aside, I agree with the gist of this: it can be beneficial for both work and personal life if you aren’t forced into strict work/personal hours. Not all jobs can do this, of course, but when possible it is much easier to balance family life and work if freed from the 9-5 mindset.

I would worry about issues with nationwide recounts, but this? Popularly-elected governors aren’t state monarchs. The Presidency itself is the weak point, since most of the safeguards have proven to be ineffective, and passing legislation is too difficult.
When you argue for electing presidents by popular vote, you're buying into the very modern idea that the president is a monarch, the embodiment of the nation, a single person who symbolizes America. The Founders, wisely, didn't want that. The presidency was never supposed to be this poweful. /2

Thread:
There were no female airline pilots during Duffy's "golden age" because the men in aviation medicine (and it was all men) were so stupid they thought that having a period made you crash.

But hey, female passengers wore skirts so I guess that means it was all good.
As travelers head to the airports this holiday season, the U.S. government wants them to rethink their travel checklists, their behavior — and also, their outfits. It's a part of a new campaign by Sean Duffy, the secretary of transportation, that he called “The Golden Age of Travel Starts With You.”

Water is being pumped out of Iran's aquifers so aggressively to sustain it's growing agriculture in semi-arid terrain that they can see the land subside from outer space - at rates up to 30-40 cm per year I hear. Iran depends on this unsustainable groundwater abstraction for ~50% of it's supplies.

79-year-old Paul Bojerski was born to Polish parents in a WWII German refugee camp. His family legally emigrated to the U.S. when he was 5.

He’s been taken by ICE in Florida.

Paul Bojerski never gained official residency, but he checked in regularly with ICE for years. Then in July, at age 79, he was detained and sent to Alligator Alcatraz.

5/🧵 Race divides the Democratic Party more than it does Republicans. Young Republicans remain almost as racially resentful as older Republicans. But among Democrats and independents, massive shifts. White Gen Z independents have lower racial resentment than Boomer Democrats.

Do not help your opposition is politics 101. Do not help fascists who have turned government into a weapon against our people is human 101. So is, don't draw a line you claim represents your unwavering principles and hurl yourself across it.
Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

Due to their delusions about being adults who make hard choices. I empathize with a strategy focused on harm reduction, but it is fully reactionary. It is never proactive. Even assuming their intentions were noble, they have sacrificed the well being of millions. Fuck em. Primary them all.

If the rest don’t oust Schumer immediately, then the entire U.S. Senate sold us out. They think we’re stupid. It’s insulting.
These 8 Senators sold us out to Trump:
Hassan
King
Cortez-Masto
Shaheen
Kaine
Fetterman
Durbin
Rosen

Understand This Fact: Chuck Schumer is behind this. None of these 8 are up for reelection in 2026. Schumer asked them vote yes—they agreed. He's such a coward that he folded and won't even own it.
