Realize im a bit vague with wording. Karma is the first superhero at marvel to identify as a lesbian. (There were other characters im blanking on the character who had the magic miniseries in the 90s.)
I think its very plausible dc had a lesbian superhero prior to Karma coming out.

Honestly this thread is about Destiny from xmen. But if you look at marvel comics as a whole i believe Karma is still the most prominent character to explicitely identify as a lesbian (and the first superhero to do so.) There is also America Chavez who i believe is one and hasnt said so explicitely

Kind of detest in long running franchises that have existed for decades where characters have been written by lots of different people. The amount of work and ecodence of proof you have to have to explicitely say a character is a Lesbian is exhausting.

Got to convince all the heated rivalry girlies to become northstar fans so yhey can finally republish the 90s solo mini series or something. Can we put him back on x-factor investigations pleasseeee
Now that fictional canadian gay winter olympian is hot commodity can marvel put northstar as a regular in a comic again. Its been over 2 yeaes since that Alpha Flight mini.
