I went to the social security office yesterday, their policies have changed and is no longer set up for the disabled. the people around me could see I was struggling to stand and encouraged me to take a seat and saved my place in line because security would not let me sit down. 😊😊

The House could vote on this as soon as this evening.

Watch and then call your reps!
The House will vote this week on the GOP's budget proposal, which includes massive cuts to Medicaid and food stamps to pay for even more tax cuts for the rich.

Call your representatives now and tell them to reject it: (202) 224-3121

The cuts, highlighted on an earlier version of the “wall of receipts” posted by Elon Musk’s team, contained mistakes that vastly inflated the amount of money saved.

Also if you feel strongly about Eric Adams, you should call your city councilmember to express that and ask for their position.

You’d be surprised. Hochul’s stance is highly disappointing but it doesn’t come from nowhere. Press all your electeds. City elections are in 5 months. Ask candidates too.

His PAC just pumped $1M into supporting anti-choice right-wing extremist Brad Schimel.

This is key to understanding the building outrage & backlash that extends way beyond the hurt of those fired. Firing people for no reason is brutal & loathsome but the even larger overall offense is wiping out all the fired people’s jobs with them, all the purposes & needs & value those jobs serve.
btw, i will tell you this - i have been talking to people all day, and the media is missing, whether intentionally or not, how absolutely, volcanically angry the people who have been fired are, not because they lost their jobs, but because their jobs matter, *to us*
alright, for the evening crowd, i've got a rhythm worked out and have already had the opportunity to talk to a few of you. if you're interested in participating, read the write-up here and then holler at me using the instructions and we can figure out a time that works.
