During Christmas, a time when so many people are spending time with family for the holidays, I always notice that a disproportionate number of service industry workers who are covering those days tend to be queer.
It always makes me a bit sad why this is likely the case.

The appetite for overriding fair systems in pursuit of partisan ends worries me.
Maybe it was necessary here and now, but if carried forward into matters like the filibuster, I worry what Republicans will do if we open these doors for them.
