No one is finally dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away, until the clock wound up winds down, until the wine she made has finished its ferment, until the crop they planted is harvested. The span of someone’s life is only the core of their actual existence.

Oddnon was one of the kindest, most community minded and most of all funny people I have ever met. They were a ray of sunshine in an all too often gloomy world, I hope they will be remembered as the wonderful person they were and that everyone in the community will continue the work they did.
my friend Oddnon passed on wednesday evening.

they were a joyous, creative, revolutionary spirit.

they helped dig me out of a creative hole in 2023 and was always there when i needed them.

their absence will leave a vacuum in my life.

may their memory be a blessing.

I’m on a family vacation without my laptop so when I heard, I downloaded BlueSky on my phone especially to say this: Oddnon was deeply loved.

Oddnon was also one of many victims of the for profit medical system. Do not ignore his death and please help his family if and when a fund is established.

"To live in this world

you must be able

to do three things:

to love what is mortal;

to hold it

against your bones knowing

your own life depends on it;

and, when the time comes to let it go,

to let it go." - Mary Oliver

Rest in power Oddnon. I'll miss you.

Oddnon once said they wanted their memorial to be a roast

I'm sorry, habibi, that I can't fulfill your wish, but nobody can think of anything bad to say about you

the only people who could talk shit about Oddnon were Oddnon and racists

I miss you

Many queer people were also denied restitution after the war because they were not considered victims of fascism - as only those targeted based on racial, political or religious grounds were considered.

reminder that you can be the gentlest, kindest person--you can dedicate your life to protecting the planet!--and still keep a little list of people you fucking hate. it's okay to be angry! anger is a symptom of giving a shit!
Earlier this year, Dr. Jane Goodall sat down for an interview for Brad Falchuk’s new Netflix series, Famous Last Words.

The premise of the series is to interview people on the condition that the interview not air until the subject has passed away.

A white supremacist shit head died and the whole world rallies to lionize him, my trans siblings get murdered constantly because of his rhetoric, fucking crickets. I'm exceptionally exhausted with existing in a world that would clap at my death and celebrate those who called for it.
I dont have adequate words for my anger today at the hagiography and whitewashing of a neonazi whos fans Ive been personally harassed by. Like Ive gotten got called slurs by a guy in a turning point shirt here in Saskatoon. Your sympathy for the devils pretty vile.

Blanket statements about political violence being “bad” come across as completely disingenuous when our country is supporting a genocide and politically violent military actions globally.

Miss me with your platitudes.

I can feel glum that folks are resorting to killing people, but I could turn my heart thrice over and not find a corner of it that mourns for a man who wouldn’t hesitate to gleefully sick his dogs on me.
I get feeling bad that we are in a place where political violence is the norm but its telling that a lot of people who brushed off the assassinations of democratic politicians, the genocide in gaza, congo and elsewhere, & actively participate in shitting on trans people are saying this needs empathy
