As easy as: the “lawyer” part is way more important than the “human rights” bit
1. People struggle to reconcile Keir Starmer’s ruthless ambition, Machiavellian manoeuvres, breaking of promises, collaboration in genocide, bans on protest, aid cuts, benefit cuts and war on nature with his history as a human rights lawyer. But perhaps there is no contradiction.

Lol. Honestly you delusional mfs. Which country do you think links lobby groups in the UK with arms and tech firms, Epstein and an ongoing genocide. A clue - it's not Russia.

This is what liberals are going whilst their world falls apart. Actively lying to themselves.
She turns to Palantir saying the company is now deeply enmeshed in UK government contracts - linking to the lobbying of Mandelson's firm Global Counsel

We break down how this links to Russian interference here: citizensreunited.substack.com/p/palantir-p...
Palantir, Peter Thiel and the Epstein files
The files have pushed a powerful surveillance contractor back under the spotlight

In the midst of imperialist funding of war and genocide abroad, only Yankee liberals could then sit down to watch a hyper-capitalist, nationalist and militarised sporting spectacle on the TV...and all it takes is a pop star singing in Spanish for 13 minutes to conclude that 'love and America won'.

I think the people at Columbia who enabled this, including the admin that Mahmoud Khalil implored to protect him and who at best did nothing, at worst entrapped him, should be ostracized.
Columbia will never be free of this stain.
When Texas lawmakers tried to visit 33-year-old “political prisoner” Leqaa Kordia at an ICE facility, she’d already lost 50 pounds and was running a high fever.

By Friday, she was hospitalized. But her family still has not been able to locate her.

Lab MPs gave Starmer long & loud applause last night. Look where the party is. Does he deserve that?

So why? Because the PLP is largely made up of MPs handpicked by Mandelson, McSweeney & others, who blocked anyone with a backbone, principles & the ability to think independently

It’s cool that this is just politics now
Hate-filled fake videos about London are everywhere. We've obtained a recording of a TikToker confessing to secretly filming Londoners in their homes for clicks.

He says it's not political. He just wants to make money from far-right anger.

This is centrism in microcosm.

Starmer can't possible support a genocide because his job title says Good Guy. New Labour can't be in Epstein's circle because of reasons. The status quo can't possible be rotten its just temporarily damaged by one guy.
A human rights lawyer supports genocide? 🙄
Besties with a Nazi paedo?🙄

Listen to yourself.

Honestly, I don't understand how people don't curl up with shame, being asked to come out here and deliver this obvious flannel. Why are you doing this to your own journalistic reputation? Is it just that you want to be known as a loyal stenographer?
Labour MPs & party insiders tell me they’ve never seen Keir Starmer so angry as over Mandelson’s lies about Epstein links.

But those who know him well say that anger has now turned inwards. That Starmer is, above all else, a man of public service, and will be grappling with his conscious this w/e.

I read this and really, it’s not good enough. If everyone knows the new leader of the opposition is basically a metal bonnet ornament on a car full of bribe-seeking, gleefully destructive psychopaths, and this does not ring alarms or in any way impede his progress to power, then *that* is the issue.

From 2000 the New Labour govt took asylum seekers off mainstream benefits & instigated a Home Office-run scheme of “dispersing” them round the UK, often to places with limited services and often moving them frequently & at short notice. Costly & badly organised travel was an inevitable consequence
Ban on asylum seekers using taxis for medical appointments comes into force
It comes after a BBC investigation which showed people travelling long distances at high cost.

If Pep Guardiola spoke out about Palestine in 2018, say about the March of Return, he'd have been hounded out of his job by the liberal press as an antisemite. If you're looking for villains, maybe start with your own profession.
Pep was deeply aware of these geopolitical realities years ago. It is great that he is saying this, and also: the lever that he is pulling now, given his unique status in the world's more powerful sport, would have shifted far, far more of the crucial discourse if he had pulled it back then.
