Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.

My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.

And anyway, Battle Royale (a novel then a manga and a film), is just Lord of the Flies with extra steps: the wrestling competition format of the same name, and a Stephen King book, among other things... A "battle royal", as Anne points out with many fine examples below, is its own genre.
