Journalist Caolan Robertson from Kyiv:

"Midnight on New Year's Eve here in Ukraine, the start of 2026. Complete silence, no crowds, no fireworks, there's no cheering. Every other capital in the world right now is exploding with sounds, with light, and here it's silence.

Where so many blossoms
Have already fallen...

Ahead of his meeting with President Trump this weekend, President Zelenskyy named Ukraine’s "red lines" regarding compromises in peace agreements.

They concern the issue territories and the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Ukraine will now legally recognize the occupation of our territories.

Yesterday, December 23, 2025, will go down in the history of the Russia-Ukraine war.

On December 23, Russia launched 35 missiles at Ukraine, 34 of which were destroyed by Ukraine. This represents a 97 percent success rate - an exceptionally high result for a massive missile attack.

Donald Trump keeps telling Western audiences that “most Ukrainians” support his idea of a peace deal with Russia. But fresh polling data from Ukraine shows the exact opposite.👇
