this is maybe trite at this point but it is in your interest to find ways to create things. basically everyone wants you to be consuming nonstop. making stuff, from cooking to photography or whatever, can help you feel more in control. doesn’t even have to be something you share with other people

Oh how the ocean has carried me through grief with its warm waters, its endlessness. My head above, the sounds of water lapping, the seagulls' cacophony of bark-whistling screeches, begging for food. Dipping my head below the waves, sound becomes muted and I swim away a sea turtle.

Email from Columbia President Armstrong makes clear that admin still has no idea what it’s dealing with. No amount of “serious action to combat antisemitism” (read: punish Palestine activists) will satisfy the Nazis. They see universities as an enemy institution to crush underfoot.
