The methods they used assume that people are just releasing the inhaler into the air. They are INHALING it. The authors make no effort to try to estimate what fraction of the propellant gets absorbed by the body. Just bad science.

Tumblr poster: Why is the Fantasy Protagonist's Cool Animal Companion always a wolf, a bird of prey, or something cool? If you live in a medieval-ish society, even if you have cool powers to bond with an animal, it's probably going to be a farm animal.

What about a fantasy book where the heroine's Spirit Companion Animal is a pig. And not a cute piglet, but a huge fucking sow. As clever as a human, but absolutely as ruthless as pigs can be.

And the protagonist is like "should I quit eating pork? Does it disturb you, that milk piglet could have been yours." And the pig is like "bitch first of all the difference is that it *isn't* mine, and don't fucking pretend that - given the chance - I wouldn't eat a human child."

yeah, healthcare costs resources! those resources have an environmental impact! the solution is to STOP FUCKING UP THE ENVIRONMENT FOR STUPID REASONS so it has the resiliency to support everyone! not to shame disabled and chronically ill people for accessing care.

you filled out an online form. But it’s also nbd to switch out the needle after the vaccine is prepped, the needles are NOT expensive and it’s fine to have to throw away the 1 inch one that’s already on there.

yeah! a lot of pharmacy workflows are set up in such a way that the pharmacist doesn’t physically lay eyes on the patient when prepping the vaccine so they just default to 1 inch for everyone, so if you want 1.5 inch I’d write that on the top of the form and ask when you hand the form in/check in if
