Michel Martin didn’t say a single word of criticism of Kirk. All she did was ask if violence was a problem on both sides, bringing up the MN killings, and Schlapp reacted as she were saying somehow that Kirk deserved it.

It doesn’t make any sense, except if criticism of Kirk has become seen on the Right as a kind of thoughtcrime… something akin to expressing sympathy for the terrorists post 9/11. Something that not only will get you canceled, but should. And they are on the lookout for it.
