This girl (probably 9 or 10) came to do the door in a revolutionary war outfit. I told her I loved her costume and she said, “I’m Alexander Hamilton” and then threw her arms out, full jazz hands, to sing, “And there’s a million things I haven’t done!”

On Threads, the usual suspects are telling ppl about to lose SNAP benefits to just start a garden. As a gardener, I had to laugh. You need at LEAST an acre of land to feed a family of 4. Start-up costs are enormous. But yes, subsistence farming on the balcony of your rental apartment is the answer

Learn how to do everything to take care of a home and family and do it well - know how to cook food someone else will appreciate, learn how to hang out with kids in a responsible way vs a fun uncle way, etc. Not to impress women but to understand these tasks have value and difficulty.

Learn how to do everything to take care of a home and family and do it well - know how to cook food someone else will appreciate, learn how to hang out with kids in a responsible way vs a fun uncle way, etc. Not to impress women but to understand these tasks have value and difficulty.

Dealt with two more throughout the day
Headache, sore throat, congestion
So tired but so much laundry
It's too cold to go outside
Had to cancel weekend plans
My almost-2-yo said "luff you" for the first time
Best day of 2025 so far, no question.

One time when we were little, my mom got sick of us saying "PIZZA" whenever she asked us what we wanted for dinner so she decided to make us pizza every night until we were sick of it. This went on for weeks. She never broke us. Didn't even get close.
