"Protecting" Nigerian Christians was a nakedly political move. If he wanted to save lives he could save 600,000 by reinstating USAID without firing a shot. This was not a Christian act, this was a play for Christian votes in the face of massive moral and ethical failure.

I have said this before, but I need to repeat it. My father led a riot squad of Highway Patrolmen at Kent State. They were all trained in crowd control and while the riot continued, the crowd was contained, dispersed then would regroup, but no one was injured for 24 hours.

Either everyone is entitled to due process, or no one is. Without it, they can designate your mom as "illegal" and swipe her off the street and off to an El Salvador prison camp, and how exactly would you prove she's not, if there's no process for you to present her birth certificate?

Thing I found out in writing this, is the throat opening of a humpback isn't wide enough to pass a person. They scoop up huge amounts of food, but then force it down an opening less than a foot wide. I suspect that fishes were schooling under this guy's kayak & the whale was trying to skim them off.

The thing about blocking a jerk without otherwise engaging them is that an hour later you will have forgotten about them entirely; nothing about them will have stuck in your memory at all. There's not even a blank spot. It's simply as if they never existed in your space at all. It's delightful.
MAGA is going to chase you over here. They'll chase you where ever you go on social media. They can't survive without making you miserable. Why do you think Truth social failed? They need conflict. Don't give it to them and don't engage. Bluesky has amazing block functions. Block them into the void.
The slow trickle of MAGA folks over here underscores how much their experience of online is entirely dependent on people getting mad at them. It also underscores how even they, given the option, would rather not hang out with themselves either.
