I think I disagree a little on this - if they are already tunneling on 125th it makes sense to continue that all the way without any interruption in construction. That continuous construction is THE detail in why this and why now.

I think this is a great point - she now has someone in city hall that's going to say "yes - let's do it!" to things like this.

Getting cars that physically will not speed is way way way better.
This is also a step towards getting all cars to respect the speed limit, which goes way beyond removing licenses for a few repeat offenders.

I've been posting to spread awareness about ISA for 8 years now. We are behind the times but this is a really big change that I believe is a step towards requiring speed limiting technology on all vehicles.
I also continue to think NYC needs to better use it's own leverage to advance adoption.
