I'm Jewish. I'm also Mancunian.

Every other national party leader was interviewed by Laura Kunesberg during their conference.

Maybe the BBC thought as someone who also supports Palestine - I had nothing to say?

Every week when I get the bus to my parents' place I pass the turning to the almost-900k house and swimming pool Farage's girlfriend allegedly bought with cash - no mortgage - that he's repeatedly lied about. The press have now happily dropped the issue. I'm getting angrier about it by the day.

6 Australians are being held by Israel, following their abduction in int'l waters from the #GlobalSumudFlotilla. The Aus Govt refuses to speak to their families unless they receive letters of permission from those detained, or the detainees have died. #auspol www.greenleft.org.au/2025/1439/ne...

👆 Exactly this. I lump Labour together with Cons & Reform - there is nothing leftwing about this party. Sincerely hoping that the rightwing vote will be split between these three, so we can vote in a true left wing alliance that can begin #ElectoralReform

FIFA has decided to take no action against Israel.

President says "FIFA cannot resolve geopolitical issues."

FIFA has and still bans Russia.

FIFA is a disgrace, Israel need to be banned.

Looks like Devon & Cornwall Police had their priorities right, unusual for these times. It’s ridiculous that pacifists are being arrested for speaking out about the horrors of the genocide.

BREAKING: Devon and Cornwall Police did NOT arrest protestors today for signs which say "I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action"

In sharp contrast, Met police are mass arresting protestors in Trafalgar Square for holding the same signs, despite claiming limited resources.

Betrayal.

Hacking scandal.
Horizon scandal.
Grenfell scandal.
Infected blood scandal.
Nuclear test veterans scandal.

Govts promising but kicking the can down the road.

Behind each of these scandals are people, human beings.

Actor & campaigner Hugh Grant tells ITV News why he feels Labour has ‘betrayed’ hacking victims.

He says seeing Keir Starmer forge close relationships with major newspaper barons is hard to stomach for the families who were promised things would change.

After being used in WW2 compulsory ID cards were abolished in 1952 because of the widespread sentiment that they are fundamentally at odds with British values and civil liberties.

That was true then and it’s true now. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Keir Starmer to announce plans for digital ID scheme
The prime minister believes a new scheme would help crack down on illegal working in the UK.

Here's a link to Labour's 2024 manifesto.

It doesn't appear to mention rolling out a national ID scheme (which I think we can agree is a MASSIVE project). Yet Starmer's doing it anyway.

If that's acceptable, why aren't introducing PR, or rejoining the SM, CU or EU?

The government wants to bring back private finance in our NHS. 🤬

This would harm patients by siphoning off hundreds of millions of pounds in profits from our NHS. 🤑

Rachel Reeves and Wes Streeting, you can still drop these disastrous and unpopular plans. Share if you agree.
What they promised:
Change
"Under Labour, the NHS will always be publicly owned and publicly funded."
Labour Party Manifesto 2024
What they're doing:
"Ministers have handed firms £6m in contracts to help devise plans to build a network of new
NHS clinics using private capital, despite fears the move could turn into a PFI-style disaster."

VICTORY: citing "lack of evidence", prosecutors have dropped the trial against the Drax 15. They never had a case, but they kept defendants waiting for a year to somehow justify an astonishing £3 million police operation. This is yet another example of the repression of protest rights in Britain
