note that very smart young women and very smart young people of color very rarely get this reflexive "oh, this kid must be a GENIUS" treatment in our culture and in media that a certain type of privileged young white man in a stained hoodie always does
I just think of all the very bright ND women born from 1975-1990 in particular who got the shit end of the stick via all the bullying people did of smart girls and for girls with personality quirks and how no one was offering them dot com cash or ANYTHING like it.
