The devil does not need advocates. Either state your position in good faith with evidence (not these fanciful "what-ifs" of what *may* be a mischaracterization, in your opinion), or don't state it at all.

It's what a good CHRISTIAN NATION does with children. Shove them in a river.

The CHILDREN they all care SO MUCH about.

The children they're making ALL those laws for, to protect them from DRAG SHOWS & HISTORY BOOKS & the word "GAY."

Children. Important to protect them.

Unless they're brown.
Officers working for Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s border security initiative were ordered to push children back into the Rio Grande, according to an email from a trooper

CNN, The New York Times etc would be thrilled to return to a media environment where they can dragoon Americans into the Iraq War on an obvious pack of lies.

Mellowing the platforms by screening out politics and hard news goes a long way to accomplishing that.

News agencies *don’t* actually want social media platforms doing politics and hard news, because that’s their job.

The best possible outcome for mainstream agencies is having the ability to post/advertise on social media, drawing eyeballs to their sites, without competing narratives
journalists are (one of) the backbones of social media — having a space for breaking news and real-time communication is incredibly crucial for crises, information dissemination, and more

and sure, political discourse can come along with "scrutiny and negativity," but what isn't political

I was just thinking about how parts of India have such bad air quality that people's lives are shortened by at least 5 years. The British replaced native trees with pine plantations they contribute to wildfires in the Himalayas. Plastic waste from the west is still incinerated in India.
Ok how do we translate the justified horror at New York's air quality into solidarity and action around how this is just what the air is like in a lot of other cities around the world? We're so close we can do it guys
