Hot take, but I am fine with cis dudes playing trans women, provided they start HRT at least a few months in advance. I feel this is a reasonable compromise position.

I saw people were sharing books that influenced them - I think Horrible Histories has been there from the start for me - Vile Victorians I think was the first one I read, but I've loved learning about horrible history since then.
