yeah it's a big cop culture thing to act like you are under extreme threat at all times. and there is a lot of institutionalized panic about what people might do with their cars in particular.
I have to be honest. this isn't meant to downplay the seriousness of what's happening now, and this isn't meant to be glib. But this is also how ALL cops act. The first time I got screamed at like this by a cop, I was 16, because of a traffic jam in the school parking lot. Every single one of them
I think it is probably a bad idea to put clearly unhinged, angry psychopaths in federal law enforcement positions.

you think about scrooge and he basically gave cratchit reasonably stable long term employment and paid him more or less enough to raise a family on a single income and he's still a fucking villain. today's billionaires are like 10x worse
