With a catastrophic ice storm about to hit the majority of the southern Unites States, here's some tips on staying warm, courtesy of our community moderator, Neptune.
Keep yourselves safe out there.

Hello everyone! If you are going to get iced in this weekend, here are some tips from a former northerner and survival school teacher!

# 1. Your heat is a finite resource!
Treat Warmth like a finite resource! Things that make you colder- going outside, changing, getting wet- use it up! Keep warm and you will stay warm, get cold and you will stay cold! Protect your warmth!

# 2. Layers!
Proper layering can keep you warm when otherwise you would freeze! Try to keep this in mind: Base, Mid, Outer.
Baselayers should be stuff like thermal underwear, leggings, athletic shirts, joggers, stuff that touches your skin directly and WICKS AWAY MOISTURE!! **Athletic clothes make GREAT baselayers in a pinch!** NEVER USE COTTON AS A BASELAYER!!!
Midlayers are like normal clothes. Wool and Flannel are perfect for mid layers. Stuff that keeps you warm! You probably have a ton of really good mid-layer stuff in your closet right now! **Aim for stuff like Flannel shirts, wool sweaters, and fleece jackets for midlayers**
Outers: Jackets, raincoats, whatever you can find that will keep you dry and lock in whatever heat escapes your mid layers. Outer layers are meant to insulate you from the cold and keep the outside away from your body. This is the most open category. **Jackets, raincoats, windbreakers make great outer layers.** And if you get confused, remember the 3 Ws of layering!
# Wicking -> Warmth -> Weatherproof!

# 3. STAY. HYDRATED.
I debated putting this at #1 because it is that important. Your metabolism needs water to fuel itself and keep you warm! If you get dehydrated, you will have a much harder time staying warm. If you can, hydrate with warm water, but cold water (while it sucks) does the job fine.

# 4. KEEP YOUR EXTREMITIES WARM!
When you get cold, your body will decrease bloodflow to your extremities like your limbs, fingers, and toes, which will make it harder to keep them warm. This is a defense mechanism designed to keep your core warm where it is most needed. But this means that if your extremities get cold, they will stay cold unless you warm them up! So take extra care to keep your hands and feet warm! Wool socks, shoes, gloves! And remember, gloves are for keeping warm hands warm, not for warming up cold hands!

Kyuvi is a fair-skinned pink tigress vtuber, with more or less strawberry blond hair and fur and the iconic black tiger stripes throughout her hair and tail, and some markings on each cheek.
She has bright blue eyes, dark eye makeup, long red nails, and various tattoos on her shoulders, arms and her right thigh. She has two piercings on her right ear and one on her right eyebrow, and wears dark lipstick.

She wears a dark sleeveless crop top with a graphic design on the chest, and similarly coloured leathery one-legged pants. You can see her right thing but from above the knee on down her leg is covered again.

She wears big red and black spike bracelets on both wrists, has a red and black pouch secured on her right thigh by some belts, and wears red and black platform boots.

They are giving ICE *MORE* money with these garbage "reforms." More money to HURT US.

New constraints on DHS include $20 million that must be used to purchase and operate body-worn cameras for ICE and CBP officers, a directive for DHS to provide de-escalation training for ICE and CBP agents, as well as training reminding officers of Americans’ right to record any interactions they have with them. Many videos have gone viral on social media displaying the aggressive behavior toward people recording ICE in the streets of Minneapolis.

She has a pair of goggles on her forehead, and she wears a maroon padded tunic, and a black collared cape that reaches down just below her butt. The cape has a few golden seams and a white underside.

She wears black leather flapped boots that go up to her thighs, and have short heels.

She's depicted from a side angle, looking ahead, ready but relaxed, and leaning on her staff.

The staff is about 50% taller than her and is primarily made of unprocessed wood, some of which is coloured purple, and there are a few white bandages wrapped around it. The head of the staff features a core that looks like a dice, and it has 3 small "pillars" in a triangle all around the head, wrapped with a purple tape, and a green string with two beads, one red and one blue.
