It is absolutely shocking to me that windows does not ship with basic PDF utilities. It is 2025, I should not have to pay Adobe to merge a couple of PDFs into one file. Every desktop Linux distro has been able to do this since like 2004

This isn't just a usability issue, it's a security issue too.

Most people don't pay Adobe to do this. They download a slew of sketchy utilities bundled with adware (or worse) trying to get the job done.

Just unsubscribed from TREK WORLD on YouTube for their continued use of AI Slop. Now they’re using gen AI to create set construction photos that never existed. This shit muddles the historical waters and erodes visual evidence.

This is from their latest vid on the TMP bridge. #StarTrek

CrowdStrike 2025 European Threat Landscape Report is out.

You'll notice all of the initial access methods don't involve AI, and generative AI or GenAI isn't mentioned once. Which is interesting... considering it contradicts their own narrative a few weeks ago.

Everybody talks about the "O'Brien must suffer" trope in DS9, but the number of times they put Kira Nerys on a mission that required her to cooperate with Dukat is peculiarly sadistic.

I remember when so many nerds were begging for serialization, but maybe we should go back to the long overarching story mixed with standalone episodes format.

I mean, sometimes you gotta take a break from your intergalactic war to play baseball with some jerk Vulcans.

Keeper is a lovely bit of magic; joyously realised, gently moving (but never mawkishly so), and it sees Double Fine - hardly a studio known to flub its big creative swings - on exceptional form.
