This is either really good news (Paramount is out on WBD) or really bad news (previewing government intimidation into taking a bad deal to appease the president).

Americans have been dragged, tackled, beaten, tased and shot by immigration agents.

They’ve had their necks kneeled on.

They’ve been held outside in the rain while in their underwear.

At least three citizens were pregnant when agents detained them.
More Than 170 U.S. Citizens Have Been Held by Immigration Agents. They’ve Been Kicked, Dragged and Detained for Days.
The government does not track how often immigration agents grab citizens. So ProPublica did. Our tally — almost certainly incomplete — includes people who were held for days without a lawyer. And near...

If the FDA has proof that vaccines killed children, it needs to release that evidence immediately.
So, let's play make-believe and pretend that Prasad has rock solid proof the vaccine killed 10 kids.

He is now sitting on it, refusing to give doctors on the ground the information they need to inform their patients.

The opposite of radical transparency.

FDA says it won't release details of claimed Covid vaccine deaths in 'near term'

This is particularly galling to me because my own journey into appreciating the challenges trans people faced began when I interviewed Renée Richards, who was then playing on the World Team Tennis circuit, back in 1978 when I was an intern at Newsday. 1/2

SCOOP: The United States Tennis Association (USTA) quietly updated its player eligibility policy to ban trans women from competing as women in their leagues, tournaments and competitions in order to comply with Trump's anti-trans sports executive order. The policy went into effect on Monday.

Does anyone have that sharpie tool where we can name every one of the people smiling, nodding, or even standing silently as Trump unloads this racist attack?

Because I can see a future in which a lot of people will be saying, “I wasn’t there.”
Trump, continued: "What the Somalian people have done to Minnesota is not even believable. It’s not even believable. And a lot of it starts with the governor. A lot of it starts with Barack HUSSEIN Obama, because that’s when people started coming in... They want to kiss our country good night."

i'd go even further and say there is a reason even nixon kept this kind of stuff to himself. you would have to go back quite a bit to find a point at which is acceptable for a president to say anything like this *in public*, to say nothing of in the oval office.

One of the lowest points in US history - the president going on unhinged white supremacist rants in public appearance after public appearance, targeting a specific ethnic group - but because it’s Trump our political class is incapable of perceiving what it is and reacting appropriately

This normalizes corruption, feeding the sentiment that both sides suck and so politics is pointless. A Dem party focused on rehabilitating its broken brand would be criticizing Trump and booting out Cuellar. Let the corrupt guys become corporate lobbyists - they’re dragging our party down.
Jeffries claims the charges against Cueller were "very thin" and says Trump's pardon was "exactly the right outcome"
