The best moment in the History of the Word Caucasian came in a series of Supreme Court cases during the immigration panic of the 1920s.

The Naturalization Act of 1790 said that only "white" people could be naturalized as American citizens, but that only raised questions about what counted as white?
It stems from a literal belief that white peoples descended from the Caucasus mountains after Noah’s ark

Immigrants ‘plucked out of line’ at citizenship ceremony at Faneuil Hall “the cradle of liberty”.

If you ever claimed you want immigrants to do it the right way, this should outrage you. On the other hand, If you think this was okay, you need to come to terms with your white nationalist views.

This.

It can happen to anyone.
That’s where we are.
MINNEAPOLIS: “All I did was step outside as a Somali American citizen, and I got chased by a masked person, assaulted, kidnapped. It was inhumane. If this is what’s happening to a 🇺🇸 citizen on camera, imagine what could happen to your loved ones.”

Everyone knows the FIFA/Concacaf offices were in Trump Tower in the 90s right?
We now learn that Fifa had a very specific "ask" in exchange for its "Peace Award" to Trump, with loads of gold trinkets, and that was dismissal of a criminal corruption case against senior Fifa officials. And Trump granted it. Another corrupt bargain, barely noticed (and ignored by US media).

blatantly a violation of both the rules on Congress solely having the power to collect taxes, duties, excises, and so forth and also that such a new collection of federal revenue must originate as a bill in the House of Representatives, Madison wrote a bunch about it, the Constitution still matters?

ideally you'd block all media consolidation, but I think the smart play here is for Democrats and Netflix to join forces, piggyback on the recent Riyadh Comedy Festival backlash, and hammer Saudi involvement in order to scuttle the Trump/Ellison quest to dominate state media

Kushner is not running a private equity fund. He's running an influence peddling operation.

It's spelled out on page 42 of Paramount's new SEC filing

Jared Kushner is funneling $24 billion from Middle Eastern governments to back a hostile bid for Warner Bros. Discovery—all while advising President Trump on foreign policy.

When people say they want an “American Franco,” we need to be crystal clear about what that means: grinding poverty, widespread misery, & unmarked graves of summarily-executed opponents in every town & village.

As Francisco Franco’s reputation grows on the far right, a new history of his regime reminds us of its unrelenting violence toward Jews.

I can’t believe how much of the Trump era is about solving problems that *don’t* exist while making all the problems that *do* exist, worse.

There is no one who thinks the biggest problem with air travel right now is not having an area to do pull-ups.
Duffy on what he's doing to improve the airport experience for travelers: "Maybe I want a workout area where people might get some blood flowing doing some pull ups or step ups in the airport."

I see the White House doesn't know the difference between the Virgin Birth and the Immaculate Conception, which, okay, most people don't. Still, if you're going to portray yourselves as defenders of the Christian faith, it's useful to demonstrate some knowledge of Catholic teaching.

The idea that no one else, ever - including the people who wrote the Constitution - has properly understood what the document means or stands for is a rather stunning form of judicial arrogance.
It is really, really hard to get your head around the raw hubris of the majority. They really will be destabilizing the operating structure of the entire U.S. government. Why? Because they believe they have a better idea about how the past century should've been done.
