Two disabled autistic boys were murdered by their parents in Australia

I’m begging everyone to pay close attention to how the media frames this.

There’s a tendency to let the “better off dead” narrative creep in whenever disabled lives are lost.

ICYMI: Tame Impala Win 'Best Dance/Electronic Recording' At 2026 Grammy Awards
Tame Impala Win 'Best Dance/Electronic Recording' At 2026 Grammy Awards
Tame Impala’s seven-minute opus, End Of Summer, has taken home the win in the Best Dance/Electronic Recording category at this year’s Grammy Awards. Held during the Grammy Premiere Ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday (1 February), or Monday morning for us Aussies, the award was presented by American actor and singer Darren Criss. By winning the award, Tame Impala—the musical project of Kevin Parker—beat fellow nominees Disclosure & Anderson .Paak‘s No Cap, Fred again.., Skepta and PlaqueBoyMax’s Victory Lap, Kaytranada’s Space Invader and Skrillex’s Voltage. Last year, Parker won his first-ever Grammy Award for the Tame Impala project following his work on the Justice single, Neverender. Notably, that win was also in the Best Dance/Electronic Recording category, but tonight’s award marks Parker’s first-ever Grammy win as a solo artist. Tame Impala has previously been nominated for three Grammy Awards, with past albums receiving nods in the Best Alternative Music Album category. This year, the group was only nominated in the Best Dance/Electronic Recording category. While the Tame Impala win is good news for Australian music, fellow homegrown acts RÜFÜS DU SOL and Amyl And The Sniffers lost out in their categories – Best Dance Electronic Album and Best Rock Performance – to FKA twigs and Yungblud, respectively. End Of Summer was released last July and was the first single to be released from the most recent Tame Impala album, Deadbeat (which was formally announced two months later). The single pays tribute to various eras of dance music. End Of Summer gradually unfurls itself to reveal Tame Impala as a primal rave act, drawing from acid house music of the ‘90s and Australia’s bush doofs, all leading to a new kind of music from Parker. Per the official album synopsis, Deadbeat is “a collection of wickedly potent club-psych explorations” that allows Parker to share his most direct, “brain-wormy” songwriting to date. The record also “sounds like the work of an artist with a levelled-up mastery” of music and is packed with “revitalised energy for experimentation.” As a live act, Parker is joined by Dominic Simper on guitar and synthesiser, Jay Watson on synthesiser, vocals, and guitar, Cam Avery on bass guitar, vocals, and synthesiser, Julien Barbagallo on drums and vocals, and Rafael Lazzaro-Colon on percussion. How did they redact abusers but not the victims? And they expect us to believe 40 nude photos went unnoticed?

That’s exactly why people think the DOJ did this on purpose, to shame these women for coming forward.

Heatwaves kill more Australians than floods, fires and cyclones combined.

If we named them, we could treat them as the public health emergencies they are.

Should we name them after the fossil fuel companies that contribute to them?
